Hands4Hope’s leadership program is based on the servant leadership philosophy and set of practices, which enriches the lives of individuals, builds better organizations and ultimately creates a more just and caring world.
With the vision of cultivating the next generation of socially responsible citizens, Hands4Hope’s program fosters mutual understanding, respect, and civic engagement among its young leaders.
Once a youth accepts a leadership position, whether it be for one of the school-based H4H Clubs or an outreach project committee, they are invited to participate in workshops, team building exercises, leadership camps, and meetings with community leaders and organizations. Additionally youth leaders assist in the development and implementation of Hands4Hope leadership activities.
Through participation in Hands4Hope, youth learn that there is not a set mold for a leader . . . servant leadership is driven by passion, the desire to take action, and the ability to inspire others to do the same.
