Serrano Associates, led by Parker Development Company, is the developer of the Serrano community in El Dorado Hills. Since 1956, the Parker family has created award-winning, master-planned communities in the Sacramento region. Our corporate philosophy aims to strike a successful balance between quality homes, nature, recreation, schools and local services. Over the years, we have been recognized for our work in protecting or enhancing natural resources and open space, pioneering the use of recycled water in Northern California for residential irrigation, land planning and design, community development, wetlands mitigation, and environmental sensitivity.
What is the reason(s) for sponsoring Hands4Hope?
We believe corporate donations and employee volunteerism are just two of the ways we can demonstrate our support to a number of non-profit organizations, all of whom play a vital role in providing services and programs that strengthen our local community. Hands4Hope – Youth Making a Difference is one that we are pleased to support because their mission of cultivating the next generation of civic-minded citizens echoes our core values, across three generations of local leadership dedicated to creating healthy, sustainable and vibrant communities.
How have your interactions with H4H youth been?
The H4H youth never disappoint and always display admirable character traits. They articulate their thoughts clearly, show kindness to themselves and others, and are courageous and confident in their abilities. They have grit and determination, yet possess resiliency and adaptability when a situation calls for it. They are honest and respectful, and some can be quite entertaining with their senses of humor! Most of all, we have come to understand that their experiences with Hands4Hope give them a sense of hope, optimism, and empowerment to make a difference in the world around them.

We would like to congratulate Hands4Hope and the thousands of young people who have stepped forward to discover their passions, enhance their skills, and serve El Dorado and Sacramento counties with compassion for humanity.
