Learn more about one of our sponsors, Wells Fargo, and why they choose to support Hands4Hope.
1. Tell us about your company/organization.
Wells Fargo and Company was established in 1852. It’s first branch was opened in SF, 2nd branch opened in Sacramento, and our third branch was opened in Placerville. We have a long history of serving and being the community bank of choice in the Greater Sacramento area. Wells Fargo has been a leader in giving back to the community, last year we donated over $286 million to more than 14,500 non-profits. Our team members also pledged an additional $85 million during our annual employee giving campaign. In addition, team members volunteered a record 2 million hours of service in our communities.
2. What is the reason(s) for sponsoring Hands4Hope?
Hands 4 Hope’s vision is aligned with Wells Fargo in developing future leaders that make a positive difference in our community. Their programs empower the kids to make decisions and work as a team to achieve a common goal. Our support of Hands 4 Hope allows more kids to make a difference in our community and develop lifetime leadership skills for the kids in involved. Our philanthropic areas of focus include education/ financial literacy which aligns with Hands 4 Hope. We also focus on healthy communities, which is an area of focus for the kids of Hands 4 Hope. This focus eventually leads to our workforce development and housing opportunity for the homeless and low income families.
3. Is there anything else that you would like to add?
Personally I have a 13 year old son Nicholas and would like him to get involved with Hands 4 Hope. The leadership skills and hands on experience working together as a team is priceless for our youth.
