El Dorado Disposal provides Organics, Recycle and Trash service to the west slope of El Dorado County, but that is not the only service they provide. They also invest in the health of the community overall by partnering with and supporting nonprofit organizations, as they have done with Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference... for 17 years!
El Dorado Disposal’s support has grown along with Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference, with a shared passion for serving the local community. We are so appreciative of their partnership this year, significantly increasing their sponsorship to provide more opportunities for developing young leaders into civic minded and socially responsible citizens.
El Dorado Disposal's support also has included more than just funds. Recently, when El Dorado Disposal heard about Hands4Hope's need for help to clean out our Hands4Hope Placerville Youth Center, they stepped up by providing an on-site dumpster. This allowed staff and volunteers to safely and conveniently dispose of the accumulated trash, saving significant money and time compared with having to make repeated dump runs!

What is it about the mission of Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference that resonates with your company's values or goals?
El Dorado Disposal has been a supporter of Hands4Hope since the beginning because we have always believed in the mission to empower youth to identify a need, think creatively about how to address that need, and then execute a project that is youth-led. It’s still a great formula for developing young leaders.
On a personal level, what does giving back to the community mean to you or your team?
Giving back allows us to create a deeper connection to the community we serve, and live in. We provide opportunities for our employees to get involved in their communities and consider it a privilege for El Dorado Disposal to give back through our annual bike build, charitable donations, or sponsorship of community events.
