High School Leadership Camp 2026

We are so excited to welcome and train all our High School-age leaders at this summer's 2026 High School Leadership Camp! Members of the Hands4Hope Youth Leadership Team receive ongoing leadership development opportunities, coaching and support.


Camp provides an opportunity for Hands4Hope Youth Leaders to come together to participate in strategic and fun team building, as well as a series of workshops focused on communication, meeting and project development skills, and understanding strengths based leadership. These team building and leadership development opportunities will provide an excellent opportunity for you as a youth leader to build foundational skills essential for leading a successful on-campus service-learning club or after-school committee in the 2026-27 school year.


Note: Hands4Hope Leadership Camp is for elected Hands4Hope Club and Committee leaders only.



HIGH school camp details

Camp begins: July 8, 12:00 pm (start time to be confirmed)

Camp concludes: July 10, 10:30 am (end time to be confirmed)

Location: Sierra Nevada Journeys Outdoor Education Camp, 5900 Grizzly Rd, Portola, CA 96122 (located north of Truckee) Camp site phone: (530) 832-1085


Transportation:

Parents/Guardians must arrange for transportation to and from camp. Camp is located approximately 2.5 hours from the Hands4Hope El Dorado Hills Youth Center.


Camp Program Fee*: $320 per participant fee includes meals, all workshops and activities, materials and the high and low ropes course.

  1. Registration, release, and medication form

  2. Sierra Nevada Journeys Waiver (online)

  3. Update Volunteer Terms and Conditions on Hands4Hope Website (Cervis)

  4. Pay for camp and/or request a scholarship (scholarship applications due June 16)

PAYMENT DUE JUNE 20, 2026

Payment options:

  • Pay online through this form

  • Bring a check payable to Hands4Hope to the Hands4Hope El Dorado Hills Youth Center, 5005 Windplay Dr. Suite 2., El Dorado Hills. Our normal office hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 3 pm. If you wish to call in advance to check on hours, our office phone is 916-294-7426.

  • Mail a check payable to Hands4Hope. Please indicate "High School Leadership Camp" and the name of your participant. The mailing address is 3941 Park Dr., Suite 20-264, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762. (NOT our physical address.)


Scholarship information - DUE June 18

Financial hardship scholarships are available. Please request full or partial scholarships by completing this form. Contact Sydnie Warner if you have questions or would like more information at sydnie@hands4hopeyouth.org. The scholarship application deadline is June 18. 


Camp Schedule

  • July 8: 12:00 pm - Arrive at Grizzly Creek Ranch, settle into cabins, get acquainted, low ropes course, dinner, night hike

  • July 9: Workshops, kayaking, high ropes, swimming, three delicious meals + snacks, and lots of fun

  • July 10: Breakfast, reflection, and departure at 10:30 am.

PROHIBITED Items Include: Knives or other weapons, alcohol, tobacco, drugs, aerosol spray cans, hair dryers, matches/lighters, candy, and gum. No items with nuts are allowed.

 

NO YOUTH MAY ATTEND CAMP UNLESS THE PARENT/GUARDIAN HAS COMPLETED ALL REGISTRATION, PERMISSION, MEDICAL, & RELEASE PAPERWORK
