Welcome - Please tell us a little bit about yourself!

I am a proud mother of twins, a world traveler, and a passionate storyteller, especially in our local community theater. I earned a Masters Degree in Structural Geology, but my career has so far been focused on being a present and involved mom, a volunteer, and an event planner. I love nature, good books, sci-fi, and meals with friends.

What were you involved with before starting with Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference?

Until recently I was homeschooling my kids. I am also deeply involved at Imagination Theater! as a show director, actor, and on the Board as the Marketing Director.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time I plan my next trip or get immersed in a story, usually set in either the past or the future. I also spend a lot of time volunteering at the theater, catching up with friends, and singing.

What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know or are surprised to learn?

I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa, and my “countries visited” count is up to 49!

What goals do you have for your work with Hands4Hope?

My goal with Hands4Hope is to continue the incredible success they have with after-school committee-led events and drives, including School Supply Drive & Distribution, Kids Zone Area, Winter Boutique, and Empty Bowls. I hope to help by creating consistency and efficiency in the procedures, while still allowing for creativity and variety.

What are you most looking forward to in working with Hands4Hope?

I look forward to learning about youth leadership and the service-learning model so I can share these with my family and the other youth in my life. The participants I’ve met so far are incredible and inspiring!
